# Launch Steps

Launch your token in a few easy steps.

By default, a Realm token is a [direct launch](/realm-documentation/basics/direct-launch.md): it opens straight onto Uniswap V4 in the creation transaction, and you earn LP fees on every trade from the first one. A [bonding-curve launch](#bonding-curve-launches) is available as an alternative.

### Step 1: Connect your wallet

Connect a Robinhood Chain compatible wallet.

The connected wallet becomes the creator address for the token. It controls deployment, ownership permissions and access to creator earnings.

Make sure the wallet is connected to Robinhood Chain and has enough funds to cover the network gas fee.

### Step 2: Enter the token details

#### Token name and symbol

Choose the token name and ticker symbol.

Both values become permanent after deployment and cannot be changed.

Use a name and symbol that are easy to recognize across trading interfaces, wallets and block explorers.

#### Token image

Upload an image or logo for the token.

Recommended format:

* 512 × 512 pixels
* PNG
* Transparent background

#### Social links

You can add links to the project's official channels, including:

* X
* Telegram
* Website
* Other community pages

Social links are optional. They help traders verify the project and find official updates.

### Step 3: Choose the quote assets

A direct launch can create between one and three Uniswap V4 pools. Each pool uses a different quote asset.

Available quote assets include:

* **ETH:** Creates a single ETH pool.
* **Whitelisted ERC20 tokens:** Includes Robinhood's tokenized stocks (rStocks), Arcus leveraged pTokens, major crypto assets and selected memecoins.

If you select more than one pool, choose how much of the token supply is assigned to each one.

Every pool opens at the equivalent of a 1.125 ETH market cap, calculated in its own quote asset. You do not need to set an opening price or provide ETH to seed the pools.

### Step 4: Choose the LP fee

Each pool charges its Uniswap V4 LP fee on every buy and sell.

Choose one of the following rates:

* **1%:** Default
* **0.5%:** Lower fee with tighter trading spreads

Fees earned by the token's locked liquidity reach you in each pool's quote asset.

The fee is divided as follows:

* **70% to the creator**
* **30% to the Realm Treasury**

Creator earnings begin with the first trade.

### Step 5: Configure the launch

All settings in this section are optional and disabled by default.

#### Buy and sell taxes

Buy and sell taxes can be configured independently.

* Each tax can be set up to 4%.
* The maximum becomes 4.5% when the 0.5% LP fee is selected.
* The tax can remain active for any period from one minute to permanent.
* The selected duration begins when the token launches.

Taxes are collected in each pool's quote asset and can be claimed from the creator profile.

Taxes can be lowered after launch but cannot be increased.

#### Earnings allocation

Choose how creator earnings are distributed.

Earnings can be divided between creator addresses and the following onchain allocations:

* Token burns
* Liquidity
* Holder dividends paid in up to three assets

Earnings allocation does not require a token tax. The creator's 70% share of LP fees already provides an ongoing revenue stream.

#### Creator buy

A creator buy lets you purchase the token inside the deployment transaction, before public trading begins.

You can:

* Choose which pool executes the purchase.
* Pay with ETH, including when the selected pool uses an ERC20 quote asset.
* Divide the purchased tokens between multiple recipient addresses.

Use Creator Vaults if you want to lock an allocation instead of purchasing it.

#### Creator vaults

Lock up to 30% of the token supply across a maximum of five vaults.

Each vault can have its own:

* Recipient
* Cliff
* Vesting schedule

#### Launch protections

Realm provides optional controls for the opening phase of a launch.

**Sniper protection**

Set temporary limits on:

* Maximum purchase per transaction
* Maximum purchase per wallet
* Protection duration

**Tax decay**

Start with a higher tax and automatically reduce it to the final rate during the first 20 minutes after launch.

#### Fee recipients

Creator earnings can be divided between multiple addresses.

Set the percentage assigned to each recipient. Recipient shares can be rebalanced after deployment.

#### Ownership

The creator wallet keeps ownership of the token by default.

Ownership allows the creator to lower token taxes after launch. Taxes can never be raised.

Renouncing ownership permanently removes this permission.

### Step 6: Review and deploy

Review every setting before submitting the transaction.

Once ready:

1. Select **Deploy**.
2. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
3. Pay the Robinhood Chain gas fee.

Realm does not charge a separate token deployment fee.

#### What happens during deployment

The deployment transaction:

* Deploys the token contract using a gas-efficient minimal proxy.
* Creates and seeds the selected Uniswap V4 pools.
* Executes the creator buy, if configured.
* Locks the seeded liquidity permanently.
* Applies the selected launch settings.

The contract holding the seeded liquidity has no withdrawal function.

The following settings become permanent after deployment:

* Quote assets and pools
* Supply allocation between pools
* LP fee rate
* Creator vaults
* Earnings allocation

Taxes are the exception. They can be lowered after launch but cannot be raised.

Fee recipient shares can also be rebalanced later.

### After deployment

A direct-launch token becomes tradeable as soon as the deployment transaction confirms on Robinhood Chain.

From the first trade:

* Anyone can buy or sell the token.
* Seeded liquidity remains permanently locked.
* The creator earns their share of LP fees.
* Configured taxes begin accruing.
* Launch protections begin their selected duration.

The token page provides access to trading, market data, creator earnings and official project links.

## Bonding-curve launches

Instead of opening on Uniswap V4, a token can start on a **bonding curve** and graduate to **Uniswap V2** once it has collected enough ETH. The launchpad and bonding curve exist only to support these Uniswap V2 tokens; nothing in this section applies to direct launches. The differences from the steps above:

* **Trading:** against ETH only, directly on the curve through Realm, until graduation.
* **Fees:** a 1% curve fee, 70% to you, from the first trade, and **0.175 ETH** at graduation. After graduation Realm charges no LP fee: traders pay Uniswap V2's native 0.3%, which stays in the locked pair.
* **Liquidity tier:** instead of an LP fee, you pick how much ETH the curve must collect before graduating:

| Tier | Graduates at | Market cap at graduation |
| ---------------------- | ------------ | ------------------------ |
| Small                  | 2.0 ETH      | 6.125 ETH                |
| **Standard** (default) | **3.75 ETH** | **12.25 ETH**            |
| Large                  | 7.25 ETH     | 24.5 ETH                 |

* **Taxes:** up to **5%** per side, and the clock can start at launch or at graduation. An [earnings allocation](/realm-documentation/basics/fee-structure.md#earnings-allocation) requires a long-term tax, since the tax is the token's only earnings after graduation.
* **Creator buy:** uncapped up to the graduation threshold. A buy that reaches it graduates the token instantly.
* **Creator vaults:** nothing is claimable until the token graduates.
* **Ownership:** bonding-curve tokens are always ownerless.

At graduation, your tier's ETH plus 285.7M tokens (28.57% of supply) are deployed to a Uniswap V2 pair, and the LP tokens are burned.
